Are You Listening to Me?

I asked.
I do not have to. J said.
What did you say?
I do not have to listen to you, I am tired.
Needless to say I went ballistic on him.
Later (after much thought I am sure) J told me it was "opposite day."
So I asked him if what he had really meant was that he had to listen to me.
Yeah he replied with his delinquent smile.
How can you be mad at a kid like this?
