This is the letter that he dictated to me for his friend who is on extended leave from school:

Dear C,
I wish you good luck at the country that you are in. I miss you C. I would like to know when we are going to have the sleepover. I hope the sleepover is soon. My birthday is between when you are coming back (Feb 28). I hope you make it to my birthday party. I think you missed out my hideout but I will show it to you when you come back. I have a present for you- here are the clues: it's something that is a toy and starts with "s" and it is very long and has a tail. I hope you come back soon. I wish you good luck. PS Try to guess what it is.
